Very Venerable Ni Su Thích Minh Chau (Fern Shin Getsu Myosen McGuire) and Thuong Toa Thích Minh Tri (Ken Hogaku Sho McGuire) died suddenly, within days of each other, during the third week of June 2012, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Both Ken Roshi and Fern Roshi ordained within the Soto Zen lineage of Soyo Matsuoka Roshi. They followed and led the way of the Zen Priest for many, many years. They were both recognized in a Transmission of the Light Ceremony, which welcomed them into the Vietnamese Lam Te Thien tradition in December 2010, by The Most Venerable Thích Ân Giáo Roshi.
Each and both: Great Masters, as well as great people.
Oh, how we miss them.
Listen and you will hear the echo of Fern Roshi’s Vajra question,
“Will it help my Zazen?”

FYI: Sixteen audio files of Dharma Talks were added November 4th, which almost catches us up for 2011 (only a few left lurking in the files). Enjoy!
The Dharma Talks carefully recorded at last year’s November Teaching Day at the Temple on Meditation Techniques are still on the back burner, but *should* be posted any time, now.
